Limoges had a fever, but it's temperature finally broke
13 August 2018
Hello there! :)
The last couple of weeks it has been really hot here, but this week it finally cold down. We woke up Thursday morning to a lightening storm which was really exciting! Every couple of minutes lightening slashed across the sky and then after a suspenseful moment thunder rumbled. It was exhilarating!
This week was great! We had a lesson with M where we talked about repentance and then we sang Hymns together at her request. I have the impression she wants to get to know them better for the Church meetings, but also that she just likes them and the Spirit they bring. The Sunday she came to all the meetings and the ward meal afterwards!
We also got to see our ami R. It was the first rendez vous with him since he accepted to be baptised and my first time meeting him. He lives pretty far from Limoges and only comes in around once a week, but so far we've been in Bordeaux for missionary meetings when he came. :/ But he's still really enthusiastic and set on his baptism and readily accepted the commandments we taught! His baptism is set for October 21st. He is so funny! He says voilà voilà voilà after every sentence and the phone. It ends up sounding like walawalawala. XD
Then we had a rendez vous with S another ami and she came to sacrament meeting on Sunday! She's from Italy and it's a bit harder for her to understand all the meetings in French. But she's great. Super darling.
Yesterday during relief society we talked about the talk from general conference I think it's called "I'm a Child of God". She had a ten generation family tree on the board with so many branches on it and then she had our spiritual pedigree with just one line in between us and Heavenly Father. It was a very powerful visual. Isn't it amazing that we are children of God? Our spirits, the part about us that is eternal, was created by God. But also to see the generations encircling the person on the family tree was also insightful because we are here thanks to so many ancestors that we don't even know! I'm grateful for the blessed life I was given thanks to my ancestors.
The other day we were doing porte à porte and a cat started following us. Everytime we would go up to a door to ring, it would sit there and meow at the door! We joked that we were in a trio haha. Eventually we left to take the bus and the cat followed for a but but then left us.
I hope you're all doing well and enjoying the summertime! I love you all!

Here are some photos from a couple weeks ago. I was having trouble getting them to my tablet.
The cathedral is the cathedral de St. Étienne. And the clock tower is our gare. It is the most beautiful gare (train station) ever!
