12 novembre 2018
Dear Everyone,
It's really strange looking at the date. I don't know how it's already the 12 novembre! This is the last week of the mutation! Right now we're on the train going to Bordeaux for an exchange with the sister training leaders. This morning we missed our train by one minute and I was annoyed, but it isn't very grave because it's just p day and our train tickets are valid all day. Now we're on our way. :)
Fall is so beautiful here in Limoges. I'm always picking up leaves and taking them home because they're so beautiful! It's like they were each hand-painted. I love fall! For a couple days this week it bucketed rain and that was fun!
Otherwise it was a pretty slow week. We did quite a bit of contacting. We found a couple potentials though! We recently have been trying to slip family history in if they are uninterested. It's just difficult because a lot of people close the door or turn away as soon as we start to talk. But family history seems to interest a few more people this week! In the bus I was sitting next to a mom and her daughter who were speaking a language I didn't recognise so I asked them what it was and they said something that sounded like chingching! Apparently it's close to Russian. But the daughter was super friendly and talkative and wanted to take English class from us! So hopefully that works out! :)
Also we finally had a lesson with an amis yesterday who is always really busy! He's ten years old and wants to be baptized. His mom is a member but his dad isn't and won't give permission for him to be baptized. The parents are also divorced. It would be amazing if you could also pray for D and his dad that his heart will be softened! D is so prepared and basically taught us the plan of salvation. Also his sister loves the gospel too! She's seven. They are a really great family.
M continues to progress. In Sunday School we talked about baptism and I asked how we can know when we're ready for baptism and we talked about having the desire to make and keep the covenant. She was really attentive to that part and I think it was good for her to hear it from someone other than us! She said afterward that it make her think. She's so close!! It's hard to explain but you have it be patient with M.
This week I've thought a lot about how Christ is our example of enduring to the end. It's a long step in our eternal progression and essential to attaining the kingdom of Heaven. He showed us the way particularly in the last few days of his life. I'm grateful for his perfect example.
I hope you all have a wonderful week!
