My birthday was sick ;)
Dear Everyone,
This has been a really roller coaster week. It started out pretty well, but then Sœur F got sick. I'm not sure what it was. She was just really achy and sore throat and headache. She slept for three days straight and didn't eat anything one of those days. Poor thing! But yesterday and today she feels better. So that's good! Consequently my birthday was very calm and I studied a lot and cleaned our apartment. It was very sweet because amis and members called and asked how she was doing or wished me a happy birthday. :)
Sadly amidst her being sick, R, our engagé, dropped us. Meaning he decided he doesn't want to meet with us anymore. It was heartbreaking. I had a hard time that evening. But the Lord is merciful and on Sunday morning à call came in from a number we didn't have saved. I answered and a man asked us where the church was and how to get there. I recognised his voice to be a man we had talked to in a park a couple weeks ago. We were in the middle of talking with another ami when he walked up and asked us something and the ami actually asked him to sit down with us to talk about Jesus! And he accepted and sat and talked! He told us about a couple questions he had and we answered using the first part of the plan of Salvation. We gave him a Book of Mormon that had our card in it, but we didn't get his number.
So he came to church!! And he was very attentive and stayed the whole time! Afterward he was asking more questions and wanted to have a lesson right then! So we taught the restoration! And he had already started reading the Book of Mormon. He said that day in the park we had answered one of his questions so he decided to come to see if we had more responses for his questions. And he wanted to read the story of Joseph Smith from Joseph Smith history too! We talked a little more about the Plan of Salvation and he said he had more questions but he felt like if we taught him the whole plan, they would be answered. It was so great! My heart was light as a bird!
Then guess what! Today we had another lesson! He just texted to ask if we could do it and we changed our plans and went to the library to have a lesson with him. It went well too! He had read most of what we had given him to read already and was very attentive and humbly accepted what we taught. And we gave him 2 Nephi 31 to read to prepare for our next lesson about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Please pray for him! I know prayer works miracles! What a wonderful gift Heavenly Father sent us!
I know that our Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us! He watches over us and takes care of us. He gives us trials to help us improve and will be there to support us in each of those trials. I am so grateful for His mercy and His love and His patience.
I love you all! I hope you have a wonderful week!
